Please read through this carefully to prevent misunderstandings.
In order for your comic to be considered for review, you will need to fill out the following review acceptance form.
PLEASE NOTE:
As of Issue #3, preference in reviews will be given to
SmackJeeves Donator Comics.
To help us with this, we ask that you let us know when you submit your comic for review if it has Donator Status. (If you lie and say it does when it does not, btw, your review application will be automatically rejected.) You can become a donator at any time by
DONATING to SmackJeeves.

We at SmackTalk would love to review your site. We hope that you would love for us to do
it, and that's why you're now reading this form. Just so we're completely on the level,
I'm going to list out exactly what we need from you, and exactly what we are promising.
What We Need From You
- Permission to review. SmackTalk will not review your site unless you agree to us doing so.
Once a review is posted, you accept that we will not remove it unless it can be shown to the main editors
satisfaction that we broke our promises to you.
- Permission to use your images. What we'd prefer is permission to use at least 1, but maybe as many
as five of your comics for the purposes of review. We are asking only for permission to use them during
the review of the comic, and not at any other time.
- Permission to use your banner. Both for the review, and possibly for the "review page," as
a link to the review of your comic.
What We Are Promising In Return
- A Fair, unbiased review, focusing on constructive criticism rather than bashing, and emphasizing the
good of a comic over the faults. Our goal is two-fold. First, it's to say why your comic is worth reading,
and secondly it is to help you improve. We want you to make a better comic, and to be a better cartoonist.
We promise we will treat your comic with respect.
- An oversite process. No review will be published without being edited by either Cutething or Jimmydabomb.
No reviewer (including the editors) will be allowed to put out a trash-piece.
- A re-review process. If you make changes to your comic based on our comments, then we will happily
review your site and update our review. We will, at your request, re-review your comic after one month
(30 days), and after three comics, whichever ends up being greater. If you have listened to our criticisms
and improved, we will add a paragraph onto our review that outlines the improvements made. You may only have
a comic reviewed once.
Getting Your Comic Reviewed
If you're satisfied with the above rules, send an email to
smacktalkstaff@gmail.com. Please make sure to include the following:
- The word "Review" in the subject line.
- Your SmackJeeves Alias
- Your SmackJeeves Comic's Name and URL
- A note letting us know you accept the above guidelines.
- If you the comic has donator status, let us know so that we can get it reviewed sooner.
